The Ambiance
A serene white rooftop with matching white furniture, Cafe Beirut is the place to head to when you’re looking to enjoy an exotic meal in understatedly elegant surroundings.
Enjoy a leisurely repast as you dine on Lebanese fare and watch Lahore’s traffic go by below on Main Boulevard.
Definitely at its most alluring by night when romantically lit with tiny fairy lights loosely tangled amongst the fronds of potted foliage lining the sides, this rooftop café is relatively quieter than the other restaurants in the area, making it ideal for a more intimate meal.
Cafe Beirut’s glowing neon avatar throws a gorgeous pink and purple haze in places over the rooftop and that, coupled with the unique looking canopy, almost fantastically, gives the rooftop a cool, almost futuristic sort of look when viewed from below.
The Food
With a friendly Lebanese Head Chef overseeing the kitchen proceedings, this is a great place to get your Middle Eastern food fix.
Popular favourites such as Lamb Shwarmas, Mixed Grill Platters, oven hot puffy pitas, creamy dips like Hummus & Moutabel, fresh salads such as Fattoush & Tabbouleh, Fatayers and the best Falafel in town make up the decent variety of offerings on the menu.
Traditional Arabic desserts like Kunafa and Oum Ali are a great way to end your meal here.
Don’t forget to wash it all down with aromatic Sulaimani Tea, a heady concoction of saffron, cardamoms and other ingredients straight out of the Arabian Nights.
The Prices
For the quality and variety of food you get, Cafe Beirut’s prices aren’t bad at all.
Thought not quite inexpensive, it is possible to enjoy a satisfying meal at this mid-priced eatery at an affordable cost.
Timings
The rooftop is open for lunch from 12:00 pm – 5: 00 pm.
It closes from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm after which it reopens for dinner till 11:30 pm.
Reservations
Recommended.
There are times when the entire rooftop is booked for an event so reserve in advance and request a rooftop table specifically.
